VAAV STAGES SUCCESSFUL SPONSORLIVE CONFERENCE AND SPONSORSHIP AWARDS

VAAV hosted 100 delegates this month to hear from international sponsorship experts at SponsorLive, Belgium’s annual sponsorship conference. Top level speakers such as Hans Erik Tuijt Global Sponsorship Director at Heineken, and Axel Lintermans Vice President Sponsorship at Mastercard showed how sponsorship works for their brands. We also invited EE, the largest mobile network in the UK to show us their innovative digital case that won them the Best Use of Social Media award last year. The conclusions? Modern sponsorship is about finding deep connections with customers and then amplifying the message by being part of conversations – most notably in the digital world. Our panel of leading Belgian sponsors picked up this theme and reflected on the results of the first ever Belgian sponsorship survey. Winning awards for sponsorship was very much in the air as the conference was followed by a gala dinner for the Belgian Sponsorship Awards. Five brands won awards for their work, including ING who claimed the Best of Belgium for their player escort activation with the Red Devils.
